New Roosh

One day I woke up and realized I was awesome

I knew Roosh could feel i needed something to get me through this last final. Featured on the track, Woke up is done in typical Roosh style, sick beat, sick rhymes. Check out his older posts from the joint here. Now back to ecology, enjoy the session

Introducing: Luke Christopher

your welcome in advance

out of California, Luke Christopher finally pops up on aJointSession. Kid is 17.... just means more time for more music. I can promise you wont be disappointed. Christopher brings smooth lyrics to beats that aren't your typical hip-hop beats; got a little indie feel. He dropped a song with Asher over the summer, but with his new mixtape is on the way, and he dropped "Letter to Myself", and it may be his best so far. Check him out, and share the find

New Find: Roosh Williams

Bringing you some new shit out of Houston. Introducing: Roosh Williams. Guy has something, might be the wordplay, might be the SICK beats, or maybe its just everything together, but whatever it is, it works. He hit me yesterday on aJointSession's Facebook page yesterday, and thank god he did.

"Striving to stand out in an over-diluted genre of music, in an already over saturated industry leave a lot to be desired. For Houston native Roosh Williams, the simplest mindset of maintaining true to one's instincts and constantly having a critical, open mind for the world around him has helped mold Roosh into one of the most witty and enjoyable listens in hip-hop in a long time"

Below are some tracks I enjoyed, but you can get all the rest of his work at rooshwilliams.com. Be on the lookout for more posts coming from Roosh, can't wait to see what he comes with next.
enjoy the session

lovers craving

Bringing you a song, and then that song in a sample. Bibio dropped "Lovers Craving" a while back. Its the kind of song that hits a chord with everyone. When the song truly starts at 1:27, you cant help but lose it. Obviously im not the only one who feels like this; multiple artists have dropped remixes with the song as a sample, below is Logics take on the rift, not too shabby. You can thank me later when the guitar catches you in the middle of the day tomorrow, just listen, and enjoy the session.

Bibio - Lover's Craving

Logic - The Dream

Fleet foxes seems to set the mark for this "indie" style, but Boy & Bear's music has a little more fun with it. Really liking Boy & Bear, heard them for the first time the other day and haven't been able to stop listening. Check out the songs below and see who you like more. enjoy the session.

Aer x Notorious BIG

Currently in the library, so I cant jam this out loud, but I have a feeling when I get home, it's gonna be on max. A 15 year old going back the name if Monster Mashes decided to mix ajointsession's favorite Aer with everyone's favorite, B.I.G. Should be a sick mixtape, going out on a limb posting it without listening to it, but fuck um all. Expect to hear sick reggae vocals mixed with some street style New York hip hop. Ive also posted some old Aer, one of which is a Biggie cover, so download that too while your at it. Enjoy the session

New Finds: Regg

Regg brings some fun stuff to the table. With classic, indie vocals mixed with a little hip hop flow, Regg gives you a nice medium ground to jam to. "If I Fall Down" is a one of the better songs to come out recently. "Smoking song" sticks to the track title. Sounds similar to b.FUNK, who also have links below. Really liking Regg though, good vibes are hard to come by; thinking this one will be around for a minute. Enjoy the session and your Sunday

Regg - If I Fall Down

Its been a loooooooong, a looonnng time cominnn

Luckily the music scene has been relativly slow here recently, or I would be fucckeddddd. But since its not, no reason to stress, i still have the few gems that have come out lately. Besides the music, how about the Tide? The closer it gets, the more it looks like Alabama-LSU will be one of the best games in a while. Two teams that cant seem to find competition will meet in Bryant Denny, cant wait to sing Rammer Jammer with 100,000 of my closest friends. Anyway, back to the music. some links are below, check em out. Enjoy Sunday and the laziness it bring. enjoy the session

Death Songs - Ophelia

Phil Ade - Deadlines

Tyga ft. Drake - Still Got It

Marvin Gaye - Whats goin on (nit grit Remix)

Check out Skizzyy

Its about time I tell yall...

I found Skizzy Mars a couple of months ago. He doesnt have a lot of songs out, which is good because I cant stop listening to the 5 or 6 ive found. Skizzy is just a normal kid telling it how it is. Witty and deep lyrics are woven into some of the my favorite songs in a while. I really got into his track "Together". Theme song of the past 2 weeks, no competition. Links are below, enjoy the seesssion

October's Very Coldddddd

Chi Duly came out with this mixtape a whilllllllllle back, a shame I missed it. A buddy of mine told me about it the other day in the library, so i went home and checked it out and its been playing ever since. Mashups are always better if you are familiar with both songs and if they actually fit together. With October's Very Cold, it seems like Coldplay's music just gives Drake room to impress with his lyrics. Always good to hear some good Coldplay instrumentals too. I put two of my favorites below, along with the link for the mixtape. Now you can enjoy the rest of the weekend, enjoy the session.

Drake x Coldplay - Money to Fix

Drake x Coldplay - The Best Strawberry

*Mixtape*
Drake x Coldplay - October's Very Cold

lazy sunday...

its that time of the week, recovering from another weekend of the abusive onslaught of the body's defenses.

speaking of onslaughts and defenses, if you havent caught the mayweather KO shot from last evenings title fight, you need to check it out below -- i know its all fair, and ortiz was dirty too, but IMO, if you're a man, its as cheap as it comes -- mayweather is a boring boxer, in a down era, who still has yet to man up and fight the other best fighter of this era -- #garbage

off the soapbox, and into a little session. its sunday, weather is nice, so will opt to keep it a little chill, and a little funky. enjoy.

John Butler Trio - Groovin' Slowly

Muddy Waters - Champagne and Reefer

Peter Tosh - Wanted Dead or Alive

School has finally begun, in the sense that tests are coming and the ignoring of books can continue no more.
